What it is
DAP (diammonium phosphate, (NH₄)₂HPO₄) is a granular nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer made by reacting phosphoric acid with ammonia. It is water-soluble and widely used around the world. In soil it gives a temporarily alkaline reaction around the granule.
Specification
Vietnam's national fertilizer quality regulation QCVN 106:2025/BNNMT sets the minimums for DAP:

Applications
- Basal (pre-plant) phosphorus and nitrogen for cereals, rice, maize, sugarcane and vegetables
- A phosphorus source for bulk blending and NPK production
- Best on neutral to acidic soils. Keep it away from direct seed contact, because ammonia released near the granule can harm seedlings.
